Vikram Lamba stops the shooting of Hissss, asks Mallika to cover-up

Vikram Lamba allegedly demonstrated brotherly sentiment rather explosively at Madh Island, where his sister Mallika Sherawat was filming the climax of her forthcoming flick Hissss.

Apparently Mallika had to wear a skin-coloured bikini for the shot, which was being canned on a dark, cold night. A naked body double was positioned directly behind her. According to a close source, the director, Jennifer Lynch, was to take close-ups of Mallika and full body shots of the double. Mallika was to be filmed on a tree, leaning on a branch.

A source said, “All of a sudden, Mallika’s brother Vikram (who is one of producers of Hissss) barged onto the set and forcefully stopped the shooting. “My sister will not wear such a short, blasphemous bikini,” he shouted, to the consternation of the entire crew present. The nude body double, meanwhile, rushed into the vanity van to cover her modesty.”

“Govind Menon, who is co-producing the film with Vikram, was taken aback by his attitude. He tried to reason with Vikram but the boy was adamant. Tempers rose and they had a big showdown, while shooting remained suspended for more than two hours,” the source added.

The source further revealed, “What took everyone by surprise was Mallika’s reaction. The actor took Menon’s side and made it clear to her brother Vikram that she was quite comfortable wearing the flimsy, see-through bikini. She tried her best to explain things to him but he continued to stand his ground. In the end, surprisingly, Vikram prevailed and Menon had to eat humble pie. The bikini was replaced with a longer, skin-coloured bodysuit, which was not as transparent as the earlier outfit.”

Meanwhile executive producer Rakesh Rathore denied the incident and said, “Mallika has worn a lot of skin-coloured clothes in Hissss. But I don’t think anything like this happened.”
